Wild Boar

The history of wild boar in Sweden dates back 8,000 years. After being exterminated in the 1800s, the wild boar has yet again established itself as a natural part of the Nordic fauna. It is today increasing by around 20% each year.
The wild boar is a very timid animal that is seldom seen during the day. A male wild boar can reach a weight of 250 kg.
