Truffles have a taste unlike any other. For many, they are synonymous with French cooking and the truffle has become increasingly popular as a flavoring in everything from sauces to flavored butter. If you are like us, and are a truffle lover, then here is a wonderful sauce with a mushroom base, flavored with the finest white truffle.

Boil the contents of the bag in 3 dl water with a knob of butter. Taste and dilute with more water if necessary. Use cream instead of water for a creamier and richer sauce.

One bag yields about 5 dl of finished sauce.

Nutritional content per 100 g: energy 1135 Kj/270 kcal, fat 6.5 g of which saturated fat 0.7 g, carbohydrates 48.4 g of which sugar 22.6 g, protein 4.6 g, salt 12.1 g.

Ingredients: Mushroom stock (mushroom concentrate (20%), water), glucose syrup, maltodextrin, salt, yeast extract, spices, sugar, caramel, white truffle (0.5%).
