Roe deer meat is a true Swedish classic and one of our tastiest game meats. The roe deer is one of our most discerning game when it comes to what they eat. The animals love to eat from meadows with lots of herbs, which is also reflected in the flavour of the meat.

Roe deer roast from the top round is the finest type of roast from the roe deer. For example, it is perfect as a delicate tartar as an appetiser or delicious snack. Try the recipe "Tärnad tartar på rådjursinnanlår" (page 140) from the cookery book Kocken och jägaren.

The meat is sent vacuum-packed and frozen. A deer inner thigh weighs 300-600g. The larger packs, about 650 g and upwards, contain 2-3 hind legs.
