About the product

Arctic Silk is the newest variant of our Swedish sustainably farmed sturgeon roe. Just like Arctic Tradition and Arctic Pearl it is based on live harvested roe from Siberian sturgeon (Acipenser Baerii) in Småland.

Despite the relatively lower price, we ourselves consider Silk to be the best of the Swedish Back Caviar variants. It has just the right amount of resistance in the grains that turns into a delicious creaminess and ends with an elegant saltiness. Unlike many other varieties of sturgeon roe, we prefer it to be served and eaten chilled.

Arctic Silk is stabilised using a unique method without heating. The grains do not have the same poppiness as, for example, Pearl, but instead melt silkily on the tongue. The salt is 3.7%.

The best-before date of the sturgeon roe is about 6 months from the day of production, so it should be stored at a maximum of +4 degrees Celsius.

Nutritional value per 100 grams: Energy 794 kJ (190 kcal), Fat 10 grams (of which saturated fat 2.7 grams), Carbohydrates 2.9 grams (of which sugars 0.3 grams), Protein 21.8 grams, Salt 3.7 grams.

Ingredients: sturgeon roe (96.3%), salt (3.7%).

Origin: Sweden

Absolutely magical!

Really fun to offer alongside a good champagne!
Oaty, salty, buttery and just melts in your mouth. Eaten on a small piece of toasted toast with smetana and of course in the thumb fold according to tradition. Top quality and delivery!
